Recently most people have thought that the earth becomes hot, so we apprehend that it will come tumbling down. For this phenomenon, it causes the phenomenon of heat island in downtown areas. We have reported it one hundred years ago and many cities have had this phenomenon. the temperature in downtown is higher than that in suburb. For a year, there is temperature’s difference and it tends to swell gap in summer. Biggest difference is about 5 degrees. This phenomenon has become a very big civic problem. It is said that we must stop becoming the earth hot and the phenomenon of heat island The phenomenon of heat island is also called thermal pollution. This is caused by three factors. One is that the areas which have no greenery and water can not cool the ground for evaporated heat. Another is that asphalt and concrete save sun light’s heat in daytime, and these emit that heat at night. The last is that some high buildings obstruct wind’s currents and prevent a cool operation.
The phenomenon of heat island causes many disasters. Three disasters are major. One is the temperature in downtown which is higher than that in suburb. Another is that this phenomenon helps to make OX which is acid matter and causes creation of the photochemical white smog. OX is set down index maters of photochemical smog by Environment Protection Agency. The last is regional rain. Most people think it is not important, but if it is in cities which have not experienced it, there would be big disasters, because big cities have no prevention for it.
However many people think that this phenomenon is bad in ummer but in winter it is good. It is not right. Surely it is a good point that energy, which is used by heater, saved for temperature rise in winter. But in research, a energy which is used by air conditioners is bigger than the energy which is used by heaters in cities. Eventually it is not good points which occur because of the phenomenon of heat island. In addition, this phenomenon h as another problem in winter. It makes dust dome which is shaped domes and polluted matters. In domes, harmful matter’s concentration increases. In this dome’s making way, first, high temperature makes convection in downtowns. Then, it makes cyclic air currents from downtowns to suburbs in the sky and from suburbs to downtowns in surface. So, it makes dust domes for air streams.
